The British Heart Foundation’s RevivR is an innovative and easy-to-use digital tool that guides participants through CPR training, allowing anyone to gain life-saving skills in a short amount of time. As footballers play a critical role in their communities, Lincoln City FC players jumped at the chance to take part and show their support for this important cause.
Through this charity partnership, Lincolnshire FA is committed to promoting heart health and the availability of CPR training across the county. The RevivR app is accessible to everyone and provides a quick and effective way to learn CPR using just your phone or tablet, making it easier than ever for individuals to be prepared in an emergency.
Nick Hanson, CEO of Lincolnshire FA, said:
“We are incredibly proud to work alongside the British Heart Foundation and Lincoln City FC to promote the RevivR training. CPR can be the difference between life and death, and it’s crucial that as many people as possible are equipped with these life-saving skills.”
By supporting #RestartAHeart Month, Lincolnshire FA is encouraging all football fans, players, and volunteers to take just 15 minutes out of their day to complete the RevivR training. Whether on the pitch or in everyday life, knowing CPR could save someone’s life in an emergency.

In Lincolnshire, survival rates for out-of-hospital cardiac arrests remain alarmingly low, with only 1 in 16 people surviving. Nationally, the survival rate is also worrying, with fewer than 1 in 10 people surviving a cardiac arrest that happens outside of a hospital setting. This is why initiatives like Restart a Heart are so crucial—they help increase public awareness and ensure more people know how to act quickly in a life-threatening situation.
This October, Restart a Heart events will take place all over the country, offering both in-person and digital training sessions to encourage as many people as possible to learn CPR and defibrillation techniques. The campaign culminates on Restart a Heart Day, October 16th, when people across the world will unite to promote CPR training and resuscitation awareness.
According to a survey of 3,000 football fans, 44% have been in situations where someone around them required CPR, but an alarming 42% had never been trained in the technique. Even more concerning, 45% admitted they would not feel confident performing CPR if needed. RevivR is designed to address these gaps by offering accessible and quick training that anyone can complete from the comfort of their own home.
Restart a Heart aims to train 270,000 people in CPR this year—equivalent to filling Wembley Stadium three times over. Whether you’re a football fan, a coach, a player, or just someone who wants to be prepared for a medical emergency, this campaign is your chance to learn the skills needed to save lives.
