Ken Vincent Funeral Arrangements

Ken was a well-known and much loved member of the grassroots football community

Following the sad news of the recent passing of the much loved and respected Ken Vincent, we can confirm the details of the celebration of Kenny’s life.

The ceremony will be held at The Linden Club, Clee Road, Grimsby, DN32 8QL from 11am on Tuesday 26th March, and you are most welcome to attend.

There will be a buffet and hot drinks provided by the Club, a few of Kenny’s favourite songs and then a bagpipe player will proceed to the Myenergi Stadium to scatter Kenny’s ashes on the pitch – something Kenny was very insistent happened and that Cleethorpes Town are very proud to facilitate.

If you could confirm back your attendance and/or any others that may be going to Club Secretary, David Simpson, secretary@cleethorpestownfc.co.uk / 07470 223939 - it will help the club to organise what is going to be a very busy and momentous occasion.

Well-known & respected throughout Lincolnshire football, and to the wider community due to his work with the GMB Union, Ken was active in the beautiful game during the course of seven decades, going back to the 1960s.

Ken's personal involvement with Cleethorpes Town also stretches over a long period.

Acting as first-team physio for several years, he enjoyed the proudest moment of his career in May 2017. The FA Vase Final at Wembley was, in Ken's own words, "one of the best weekends of my life".

Throughout their time in the Northern Counties East League and Northern Premier League, Ken could be relied upon to represent the Club with distinction - home and away.

Whatever his role, whether as physio, Ambassador, colleague, fan or, simply, a friend - Ken loved the Owls!
