Lincolnshire FA have been fortunate enough to have an application accepted for some innovation funding from the National FA, meaning that we are now able to build on a pilot project that we have been running over the last 12 months. 

Across the county we have seen considerable growth in the ladies only recreational game. This has seen five fantastic providers of female only, ‘no strings attached’ football grown and supported, who now provide casual, turn up and play sessions across their chosen format for local ladies. 

We would like to grow our network of providers to cover the whole county and provide more Walking Football sessions and turn up and play sessions in the ‘ordinary, running’ game. These sessions should be aimed at beginners or those trying to get back into the game but will be open to any female, 16+, that wants to give recreational football a go. 

What’s in it for you if you get involved?

You will receive; £600 funding to support with the running of the centre, bespoke editable branding to advertise your sessions, County FA support to assist in the successful running of the project. *You can charge for the sessions (recommended around £3 per session) to ensure longevity and sustainability but we would like you to offer a taster week for free to all participants*

*This support can be given to a session that is already existing provided that we, at Lincs FA, don’t already fund that provision*

What we expect in return:

A minimum of 16 sessions (start date can be flexible), plenty of positive and proactive marketing to get as many ladies there as possible, an FA Playmaker qualified organiser/coach present at each session and to monitor attendance on the FA Events platform (a full tutorial on this system can be given).

Selected providers will be chosen based on geographical need and quality of application.
