Lincolnshire Football Association – working alongside Leisure Leagues, an affiliated provider of small sided football – are delighted to be delivering a brand-new over-35s small sided football league in Boston.

The six-a-side league will take place at the new Football Foundation site at Haven High and will be played on the state-of-the-art 3G playing surface. 

Fixtures will take place on a Thursday evening between 7-9pm and will last for 30 minutes, with the start date planned for Thursday 16 September.

Team spaces are limited, but players do not have to sign up as part of a team. If you wish to sign up as an individual and be signposted to a team, then the league organiser will accommodate this for you.

Jake Park, Lincolnshire FA Football Development Officer, said: “Over-35 football is a great mechanism to keep people physically active, while retaining players who may have previously stopped playing football completely at the end of their traditional football careers. 

“It’s perfect for someone looking to get into something new and the flexible format means you don’t have to join as part of a team, but you can register your interest as an individual and meet new people in a social environment. 

“This project is a great example of partnership working between the County FA, Leisure Leagues and a brand-new football turf site in Haven High to offer what we believe will be a high quality, affiliated football experience to Over 35s in the south of the county. We hope it’s as successful as similar offers in other parts of Lincolnshire.”
