Lincolnshire FA is delighted to announce that Skegness Imps Football Club U8 Sharks have been named as our latest 2019/20 Respect Team of the Month

After winning the award, the team’s manager, Daniel Wakefield, said the following.

“Firstly, we would like to thank the FA for this award and Neal Gostelow for the nomination. It means a lot to us to receive this award, as displaying good sportsmanship is such a vital part of being a good team and a message we try to instil in all our players. 

“Dean Wilkinson and I are proud that our players are respectful to not only their opponents, but the officials and their fellow teammates. Not only is it important to display these qualities in sport, but in other areas of their lives and hopefully our players will continue displaying these qualities in everything they do. 

“Finally, we’d like to thank the parents. It would not be possible to win this award if our parents were not modelling this behaviour themselves. They are incredibly supportive and encouraging to every member of the team.”
