Celebrating Mid-Season Referee Promotions at Lincolnshire FA

Lincolnshire Football Association is delighted to announce this year’s mid-season referee promotions

Lincolnshire Football Association is delighted to announce this year’s mid-season referee promotions, recognising the hard work, dedication, and development of our local officials.

Referees play an essential role in ensuring the smooth running of grassroots and league football across the county, and we’re proud to see several individuals being rewarded for their commitment to the game.

This year’s mid-season promotions include:

Promoted to Level 6

  • Ben Barrick
  • Shane Gibson

Promoted to Level 5

  • David Moore-Trias
  • Tim Edwards
  • Isaac Leach
  • Ady Proctor

These promotions are a testament to the referees’ consistent performances, willingness to learn, and ability to handle higher levels of competition. Moving up through the refereeing ranks is no easy task; it requires regular assessments, dedication to training, and a passion for the game.

Declan Ford, Referee Development Manager at Lincolnshire FA, said: "It’s fantastic to see these referees progressing through the ranks. They’ve shown excellent commitment to improving their skills and officiating at a high level. We’re excited to see them continue their development and hope this inspires other aspiring referees across Lincolnshire."

Promotions from Level 7 to Level 6 and from Level 6 to Level 5 are significant milestones for referees. Level 6 (County Referee) allows officials to take charge of games at higher levels of grassroots football, while Level 5 (Senior County Referee) positions them for opportunities in regional leagues and beyond.

Lincolnshire FA is committed to supporting all referees in their journey through tailored development programs, mentoring, and regular training sessions. These promotions are a reflection of the growing standard of refereeing in the county, ensuring that matches across all levels are officiated to the highest possible standards.

Congratulations to all those promoted - your hard work has paid off, and we can’t wait to see what you achieve next!
