FreshLinc Extends Title Sponsorship of Lincolnshire FA County Senior Trophy for 2024/25 Season

The Spalding-based haulage company continue as the title sponsor of the County Senior Trophy for the 2024/25 season.

Lincolnshire Football Association is delighted to announce the extension of its partnership with FreshLinc Ltd, which will see the Spalding-based haulage company continue as the title sponsor of the County Senior Trophy for the 2024/25 season.

This ongoing collaboration underscores FreshLinc’s exceptional commitment to grassroots football in Lincolnshire, helping to sustain and grow one of the county’s most prestigious competitions.

FreshLinc, a market leader in temperature-controlled logistics, provides supply chain solutions across the UK and Europe for retailers, food manufacturers, growers, and importers. Their state-of-the-art facilities and modern fleet ensure cost-effective, efficient services tailored to meet customer needs.

Founded in 1996, FreshLinc has grown from a single Spalding location to a national and European operation. In 2003, they opened a purpose-built 13-acre site at Wardentree Park, Spalding, to further enhance their logistics capabilities. By 2009, FreshLinc had expanded into Europe, offering logistical solutions beyond the UK. Today, the FreshLinc Group continues to lead in just-in-time supply chains across multiple industries, including chilled, ambient, and horticultural products.

The County Senior Trophy, steeped in 140 years of history, has long been a cornerstone of grassroots football in Lincolnshire. First contested in 1884, with Grantham Town FC taking the inaugural title, the competition now features 14 teams from Steps 5 and 6 of the football pyramid, including Lincoln United, Bottesford Town, and Sleaford Town. Lincoln United are the current holders, having triumphed in a tense final decided by penalties against Boston Town at the Jakemans Community Stadium in Boston.

Jake Longworth, Head of Partnerships & Engagement at Lincolnshire FA, said: “We’re thrilled to extend our partnership with FreshLinc for another season. Their continued support plays a vital role in sustaining grassroots football across Lincolnshire, particularly through the County Senior Trophy, a competition with such rich history and local significance. FreshLinc’s commitment to investing in the game allows us to provide meaningful opportunities for our clubs, players, and communities. We’re excited to see what the 2024/25 season will bring and are incredibly grateful for FreshLinc’s unwavering backing.”

Robin Hancox, Executive Chairman at FreshLinc, said: "FreshLinc are delighted to continue their relationship with Lincolnshire FA, who work tirelessly to ensure that football is available to all who want to play, in whatever format".

Lee Juniper, Chief Executive Officer at FreshLinc Ltd, said: “We’re proud to be continuing our partnership with Lincolnshire Football Association, we’ve thoroughly enjoyed our involvement in County Cup Finals and Awards Evenings alike. Robin and I are avid football fans and, we’re keen to support Lincolnshire as a county too, the clue being in our name. We’re pleased that we can combine both our passion and community values through our partnership and sponsorship of the County Senior Trophy.”
