Lincolnshire FA Announces Sale of HQ to Drive Investment in Grassroots Football Facilities Across the County

It's part of a significant strategic initiative to release funds for reinvestment into grassroots football facilities across the county

Lincolnshire Football Association can announce that it has put its headquarters in Nettleham up for sale as part of a significant strategic initiative to release funds for reinvestment into grassroots football facilities across the county.

This decision is central to Lincolnshire FA’s commitment to enhancing and expanding the football infrastructure to better serve the needs of players, coaches, referees, and communities in the region.

As part of its ongoing mission to improve and develop football facilities, the Lincolnshire FA is in the process of finalizing a comprehensive Football Facility Strategy.
This strategy will identify key areas for development, including the creation of a new purpose-built Lincolnshire FA Football Centre and the growth of additional hub sites across the county.

These hubs will provide first-class facilities for football development and participation at all levels.

To make these aspirations a reality, the Lincolnshire FA Directors have made the decision to sell the current HQ building in Nettleham. The capital generated from the sale, combined with an element of the Association’s existing reserves, will be reinvested into key sites across Lincolnshire.

This reinvestment will support both the development of the proposed Football Centre and improvements to existing facilities.

Speaking on the decision, Professor Sir Jonathan Van-Tam, Chair of Lincolnshire FA, said: “The sale of our headquarters is a strategic step toward realising our long-term vision for football in Lincolnshire. By reinvesting these funds into grassroots facilities, we aim to provide high-quality spaces for everyone involved in the game – from players and coaches to volunteers and officials. Our Football Facility Strategy is focused on ensuring Lincolnshire has the infrastructure it needs to support the continued growth and development of the game at all levels.”

Lincolnshire FA will continue to provide updates as the development of the Football Facility Strategy progresses and as further milestones in this exciting project are reached.
