Lincolnshire FA is proud to announce Katie Oldfield from Cleethorpes Town Ladies & Girls as our 2024 New Volunteer of the Year award winner.

Katie’s contribution to the club has been nothing short of transformational, playing a key role in developing and growing the female football community.

As Committee Chair, Manager/Coach for the U15s, and Manager/Coach for the Walking Football team she helped to establish, Katie wears many hats. Her leadership has created an inclusive, welcoming environment for girls and women of all ages and abilities to start or continue their football journeys. From the Wildcats program to youth teams, open-age football, and walking football, Katie’s vision has shaped the club’s expansion over the last season.

Katie’s passion for football extends beyond coaching. She is constantly bringing new ideas to the committee, encouraging other volunteers, and fostering a community spirit within the club. She has introduced policies to ensure fair play for all and supports the younger players by organizing ball girl and mascot opportunities for first-team games.

She also secured professional photography sessions, which culminated in a club photo featuring over 200 players and volunteers.

Through her commitment to growing the Cleethorpes Town Ladies & Girls section, Katie has helped the club become a true family, where every female player feels supported and valued. Her work ethic, positivity, and ability to include and inspire others have made a lasting impact, and we are thrilled to recognise her achievements.

Katie balances her full-time job with her volunteering commitments, and her dedication to ensuring the success of the club is evident to everyone who has the pleasure of working with her. Katie’s leadership has not only helped expand the club but has also created a pathway for future players and coaches, helping to inspire the next generation of female footballers.
