Euro 2024 Walking Football Festivals Announced
Lincolnshire FA are extremely excited to announce two Walking Football Festivals this June, in line with the 2024 Euros.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain more experience to play against others in a fun, safe and friendly format, promoting Health & Wellbeing across Lincolnshire. As part of this promotion, there will be a number of external organisations present on each day.
The details of the Festivals are below:
Female Walking Football Festival
Date: Sunday 23rd June 2024 (Under 50 and Over 50)
Venue: Roses Sport Ground, North Warren Road, Gainsborough, DN21 2TU
Time: 10am to 2pm
Cost: £20 for a team registration or £5 for an individual player registration
Registration will close 7 days prior to the event date
Male Walking Football Festival
Date: Sunday 30th June 2024 (Under 50 and Over 50)
Venue: Roses Sport Ground, North Warren Road, Gainsborough, DN21 2TU
Time: 10am to 2pm
Cost: £20 for a team registration or £5 for an individual player registration
Registration will close 7 days prior to the event date
Matches will be 6v6, squads up to 10 players per team. Length and number on matches will be confirmed once registration has closed. As this is a festival, scores will not be recorded throughout the event.
Ahead of each event confirmed teams will be given a European nation that they will be requested to represent for the day. This is to enhance the friendly nature of the events and allows all participants to feel included.

With a summer of an exciting international tournament we wanted to provide this opportunity for all be involved in our own fun festival. Along with being involved in exciting match play we have also chosen to have a focus on health and wellbeing. We will have a number of local organisations attending to help promote and share guidance on different aspects of leading a healthy lifestyle."
