Lincolnshire FA Raises £10,000 for the British Heart Foundation Through Two-Year Partnership
Lincolnshire Football Association is proud to announce the successful conclusion of its two-year charity partnership with the British Heart Foundation (BHF), raising an incredible £10,000 to support life-saving work.
Since the partnership began in September 2022, the football community across Lincolnshire has united through various events, fundraisers, and raffles to make a meaningful impact both on and off the pitch.
The collaboration aimed to raise awareness about heart health, provide CPR training, and inspire the county to come together for a cause that touches countless lives. From grassroots clubs to individual fundraisers, the efforts of the Lincolnshire football family have been extraordinary.

- Wolds Wanderers Walking Football Team raised nearly £1,000 through a charity raffle.
- Grimsby Borough Juniors collected £1,250 by participating in the "50 for 50" campaign, including a memorable sunrise walk.
- Lincoln Invictus Inclusive FC contributed an impressive £1,500 through various events and raffles.
- The "50 for 50" Campaign, initially targeting £2,500 from 50 clubs raising £50 each, exceeded expectations, reaching a remarkable £3,450 thanks to enthusiastic participation.
- Lincolnshire FA’s Staff Team took on the BHF's 100km Challenge, with former Head of Football Development, Steph Powell, exceeding her personal goal of 500km!
- The Women’s Walking Football Festival, hosted in February 2023, not only raised funds but also spotlighted the critical inequalities in heart attack awareness and treatment affecting women.
- The annual Grassroots Football Awards contributed over £2,300 through charity raffles, with exciting prizes including a signed and framed 1966 England World Cup squad picture.
- Clubs that have donated to the cause are Burgh Athletic Juniors, Colsterworth Colts JFC, Keelby United, Healing Hotspurs FC, Ancaster Athletic, Stamford Strollers, Hykeham Tigers U8's, Holbeach United Community Sports Academy, Louth Town Football Club, Immingham Pilgrims AFC, Grimsby Borough Juniors, and Lincoln Invictus Inclusive FC. The family of Reggie Aslin have also donated to the cause.
Making a Difference Beyond Fundraising
The partnership extended beyond monetary contributions. During #RestartAHeart Month, Lincoln City FC and Scunthorpe United FC players participated in BHF’s RevivR CPR training, learning life-saving skills in just 15 minutes. The RevivR app, available to the public, continues to empower communities by making CPR training accessible and effective.
