'Being Welfare Ready For The New Season' Training Evening Announced

An online training slot for Welfare Officers and Club Officials has been announced by Lincolnshire FA ahead of the new season

Lincolnshire FA are delighted to announce an online training evening ahead of the 2024/25 season, mainly aimed at Welfare Leads, but with all Club Officials invited to attend. 

The training evening will be on Wednesday 21st August between 6:30pm and 7:30pm.

The information evening will contain guidance on:

  • 2024/25 Club Safeguarding Validation Visits
  • Welfare Information & Permissions
  • Recommended Policies & Implementation
  • Safeguarding Thresholds
  • New Positive Matchday Environments
  • Play Safe Weekend

Although it is not mandatory to attend, we encourage all clubs to have at least one person attend, to ensure that they are prepared for the new season from a welfare & safeguarding perspective. The session will be hosted by Lincolnshire FA's Designated Safeguarding Officer, Ben Pearce.

The Lincolnshire Safeguarding Children's Partnership (LSCP) are also offering some great training on how to support young people online, and how a grassroots football club can support their young players with being aware of the dangers online and safe and appropriate use of online technology.

This session will run on Wednesday 27th August, from 6pm to 7pm.
